About the Project
Cancer patients in Europe are treated by an array of different specialties and professions: medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, cancer nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals and many others.
Teamwork is essential. However, highly functioning teamwork requires a clear understanding of each other’s roles and competencies so that collaboration in patient care is optimal.
INTERACT-EUROPE 100 is an ambitious project to provide cancer care professionals with the training necessary to enhance this collaboration. This is now coming to 100 cancer centres across Europe.
INTERACT-EUROPE 100 aims to implement the Inter-specialty Cancer Training (ISCT) curriculum developed under its predecessor, the INTERACT-EUROPE project. The training curriculum is available online here.
As one of the leading Cancer Centres in the INTERACT Europe 100 project, Beaumont RCSI Cancer Centre is a point of contact and consultative partner for other cancer centres recruited to implement the ISCTP at the national level as well as providing key roles in INTERACT Europe 100 Work Packages 2, 3 and 5.
Training begins in 2024.
